Spring break is right around the corner and with the warm winter we've had, we're not itching to get to the tropics like usual. We also know it's also not always possible to get away quite that far, so we put together our top staycation destinations in Minnesota - whether you like hot tubs, lighthouses, lakes, cozy fireplaces, stargazing or hiking trails, we've got it all covered!

1. Lighthouse Getaway. Have you ever stayed in a lighthouse? Neither have we! This might be the perfect chance, though. Complete with seven levels and sleeping up to twelve, this cutie lighthouse is situated on 50 acres of wooded land for optimal hiking, and also comes with a hot tub to relax in after all time in the great outdoors. The best part? This spot is just about two hours from the Twin Cities - no need for a plane ride or a passport!

2. Historic Pumphouse. This home was originally designed by John Wangenstein in 1860 as the water pump house for the City of Duluth but was abandoned. The stunning Pumphouse sits right on Lake Superior and features access to a nearby beach, a cozy gas fireplace and a gorgeously redesigned interior. Sleeping five, you have easy access to all Duluth has to offer - restaurants, museums, breweries, and more!

3. Luxury Cabin. If you're looking to treat yourself, this is the spot! Sauna? Check. Theatre? Check. Huge windows facing the beautiful St. Croix River Valley? Check. This gorgeous cabin also features three gas fireplaces and four bedrooms for up to twelve guests. Spend time outside at the firepit grilling or curl up for a movie night!

4. Tiny Home. This tiny spot really has it all - access to waterfront, a cozy firepit, full bathroom and kitchen and huge windows. A romantic getaway, perhaps, or a place to work away from home.

5. A Spot to Gather with Family. Looking to get away with a few other families, or host a reunion? This is it! The home comfortably sleeps up to 24 guests and comes with lawn games and a ping pong table if you're looking to get competitive. This cabin makes traveling with kids easier by supplying a travel crib, high chair, a baby monitor and board games. Pack up the crew and head to Aitkin!

6. Starry Oasis. We couldn't imagine a cuter and more private spot than this little cabin complete with heated floors and a skylight for star gazing. This spot keeps it simple, but has everything you need to relax and unplug. You'll be surrounded by woods and prairie, but safe and cozy from the elements. Best yet, it's less than an hour from St. Paul!

We are certainly dreaming of spending a few nights of rest and relaxation in these spots and we hope you're inspired to make spring break memorable and unique this year!
