With the holiday season in full swing we encourage everyone to take a break, reflect, and set aside some time or resources to give back to your community. To make it a bit easier, we’ve gathered a list of upcoming opportunities and resources to help around the Twin Cities!
GiveMN. A hub that allows you to search through thousands of nonprofits statewide. You can search by cause, location, and who the organizations serve.
Hands on Twin Cities. A website that allows you to search and connect with local volunteer opportunities and nonprofits. It’s a pretty neat site where you can view all the upcoming events on a calendar, see ongoing opportunities, and also lets you search by multiple factors like COVID relief opportunities, pro-bono and skills based opportunities, holiday specific opportunities, and more.
Twin Cities Mutual Aid Project. An interactive website that outlines hundreds of mutual aid sites in the Twin Cities, and MN as a whole. Most drop off sites will also list what items they are in urgent need of. This is a great resource that allows you to give back directly to your community or neighborhood!
Diaper Bank of MN. Have packages of unopened diapers you’d like to donate? Head on over to the Diaper Bank of MN to check out their drop off sites!
East Side Elders. Saint Paul’s East Side Elders is holding their annual Hope for the Holidays event where the public is encouraged to write letters to seniors that may be experiencing loneliness and isolation. Their site makes it extremely easy to write the letters, all you have to do is type your message in a text box and hit submit! They print all the messages and deliver them to elders in their facility.
VIBE wishes you a safe and happy holiday season, and we look forward to all that 2022 brings!
