Neighborhood Series: Midway, Saint Paul

Midway, known officially as Hamline-Midway, is nestled about midway (you probably could have guessed it) between downtown Minneapolis and downtown Saint Paul. Perhaps best known for Hamline University being located within its borders, the Green Line located on the south side of the neighborhood makes access between Minneapolis and Saint Paul easier than ever. At University Avenue and Snelling Avenue, you’ll find one of the busiest intersections in all of the Twin Cities. This area is one of the most significant cultural centers of the Twin Cities and it’s hard to find a neighborhood with more global restaurants and grocers. Also home to Saint Paul’s warehouse district, you’ll find a diverse mix of residential and commercial properties. Check out some recommended spots below.
Black Stack Brewing
Fresh beer and good times. That’s what you’ll get here! This family-run craft taproom pours stouts, lagers and IPAs. Enjoy a giant selection of board games to keep you busy while you sip, and grab some grub from food trucks out-front. You’re looking at a satisfying evening in Midway.

Tucked away in a secret part of Hamline-Midway, Chocolat Celeste is one of those places that you don't know about unless you know about it.
