Union Depot

Next stop? Union Depot, your one-stop-shop for the holidays. 

Built in 1923, the depot was designed in the Beaux-Arts style and features stunning architecture and elegant details. And, it’s even more stunning this time of year. 

Sparkling lights dangle from trees, as shoppers browse the authentic European Christmas hosted outside of the train station. Small businesses sell knitted caps, mittens, candles and other gifts that make you feel like “there’s no place like home”.

Get on board to warm holiday cheer! The trip to Union Depot is worth it for the crépes, hot chocolate, coffee and mulled wine.

Amsterdam Bar and Hall

From Beyoncé Disco parties to Jazz Fridays, the Amsterdam Bar and Hall is your go-to destination for vibrant music and entertainment in the heart of Saint Paul.

Catering to every crowd, the venue offers an array of live music and events. Some like it intimate, spotting (and cheering on) local or up-and-coming talent. Others prefer to stand front and center for their favorite national act.

Cozy, not cramped, the restaurant is perfect for a date night. Order a cocktail (or two) and enjoy true Japanese taste in this hot spot in the heart of Lowertown.

Visit America’s Pastime 

A great decision on the fly. Check out America’s  beloved pastime in a museum filled with baseball memorabilia.

Did you know the St. Paul Saints date back to the 1800s? Take the kids or any avid ball-lover down a path of history with the museum's baseball-dusted uniforms, interactive exhibits and media presentations.

Founded in 1991, the Nautilus has had time to fine-tune its innovative and thought-provoking theater style. Come see any (or all) of their shows — the “Moonlit Walk Home” a poetic writing sung in opera being their most recent.
