Over the past few years we have seen interior design trends make some big shifts - partly due to needs changing during the pandemic. We see people tackling home renovation projects they have always really wanted to do, and have seen a strong need for more space, or more multi-use spaces.

We reached out to our friends and DIY extraordinaires (no really, they are incredible), JP and Liz, over at @therehablife and asked them what they have seen change over the past year, and what trends they are most excited about in 2022.

What trends do you see fading out as we head into 2022?

Goodbye gray! (hopefully). Gray walls with white trim and all white kitchens can still be stunning, but if they're not balanced with…

Welcome to West Side Saint Paul, located across the Mississippi River just south of downtown. The name tends to throw people off, but it comes from its location on the west bank of the Mississippi River. We love this long-established neighborhood for its historical context, exuberant culture and vibrant Mexican eateries. Also worth noting, the annual Cinco de Mayo celebrations is one of the ten largest in the United States. Sightseeing cruises depart from riverside Harriet Island Regional Park, the site of regular summer events. At nearby Wabasha Street Caves, visitors can tour limestone caverns used by Prohibition-era gangsters. With excellent river views and much to see, we’ve highlighted some known local hangs below.

That's a wrap!

Just when we thought maybe we'd kick off a more traditional new year - BAM! Omicron has essentially taken a hold of the Twin Cities, and many of us find ourselves reliving some of the practices of past quarantines, isolations, canceled events, I write this, even our household is all COVID-positive (we're doing okay), and part of us it feels like this will never end. However, news from parts of the world that are ahead of us does seem encouraging. At least for now.

So how did 2021 leave us in regards to the housing market? We left off acknowledging the roller coaster of a year it had been, but ever so curious of what the 12th and final month of the year would tell us. Let's take a…

Welcome to 2022! We don’t know about you but we are staying cautiously optimistic that this year will be better than the last few. With the start of the New Year under our belt, it’s time to start thinking about any home projects you may want to tackle in the coming months - especially if you are thinking of listing your home this Spring.

So when is the right time to bring in your Realtor?

We actually find that most people bring us in their Realtors too late. Getting a hold of your Realtor prior to tackling an entire list of pre-list projects can save you a lot of second guessing and potential pitfalls. Your Realtor will be able to suggest what projects will get you the most bang-for-your-buck when it comes to resale, and can also connect you…

Welcome to Victory! This Northern Minneapolis neighborhood is located within the Camden community just east of the Mississippi River. It is bordered by the Humboldt Industrial Area on the north, Penn Avenue on the east, Dowling Avenue on the south, and Robbinsdale on the west.

Referred to as up-and-coming by MSP Mag, Victory is appreciated by locals, and for many north-side residents, the area’s diversity is a key draw. It’s named for the historic three-mile Victory Memorial Parkway which runs through the community. ‘The Drive’ was dedicated in 1921 as a memorial to the Hennepin County service members who died in World War I. Each casualty is recognized with a tree planted in their honor and a marker noting their service, making the parkway the…

With the holiday season in full swing we encourage everyone to take a break, reflect, and set aside some time or resources to give back to your community. To make it a bit easier, we’ve gathered a list of upcoming opportunities and resources to help around the Twin Cities!

GiveMN. A hub that allows you to search through thousands of nonprofits statewide. You can search by cause, location, and who the organizations serve.

Hands on Twin Cities. A website that allows you to search and connect with local volunteer opportunities and nonprofits. It’s a pretty neat site where you can view all the upcoming events on a calendar, see ongoing opportunities, and also lets you search by multiple factors like COVID relief opportunities, pro-bono and skills…

Written by VIBE Owner/Broker Steve Anderson Well, here we are at the end of another crazy year in real estate. 2021 has been like riding a roller coaster where the safety harness is just a little too loose, and while it wasn't the worst ride we've ever been on, we're still ready to get off this thing. So, how did it shake out with the numbers? Some went as expected, but there's a surprise twist at the end, so stay tuned.  What didn't surprise us? Well, the sale prices. They didn't change much - in fact, they hardly changed at all. The Average Sales Price came down less that two thousand dollars to $392k, which is the same as it was in September. And the Median Sales Price dipped to $338k, again, only down about two thousand…

This month our neighborhood spotlight is focusing on an entirely new neighborhood that is being constructed in Saint Paul! The Highland Bridge project spans over 100 acres just south of Highland Park, in the area that was formerly home to Ford Motor Company’s Twin Cities assembly plant.

With construction well underway, you can head to their website to really dig into all the planning, their project partners, and an interactive aerial map of the area:

Highland Bridge will consist of a multitude of structures and properties, from condos, custom homes, affordable housing (a minimum of 20% of properties will be affordable housing), senior living, and rowhomes, people will have access to a variety of residential options if…

The past few years have been hard, in so many ways, and as 2021 starts coming to a close we would like to take the time to give thanks to everyone that has worked with or alongside VIBE over these unprecedented times.

We wouldn’t be anywhere without the agents that choose to call VIBE home. We have such an incredible group of people that are making a difference in the real estate industry, and we couldn’t be more proud of every single agent that is on-board here at VIBE. With the market being so extremely competitive, especially over this past year, we got to witness first hand how hard VIBE agents worked to get their clients into homes, and it wasn’t easy.

Pandemic aside, this year was tough for people buying and…

Ahhhh, winter. The snow starts falling, the temperatures drop, and maybe you’re wondering what all of that means for the real estate market.

I know we are all interested to see how this winter market unfolds, coming off of one of the most aggressive and competitive real estate years in history. Traditionally, the winter is a slower season in real estate. Fewer homes go up for sale, and fewer people are out shopping for new houses. The winter season does have its own benefits though - for both buyers and sellers!

Winter Buying Benefits

Less competition against other buyers. One of the biggest benefits for buyers is that there is much less competition. Because the market has been so intense and competitive over the past year, the winter could…
